Flash Skills Lessons 1 – 3 Assessment (test grade)
Create a new folder in your Flash folder called Assessment. Save your file in your Assessment folder. File name is assessment1-Pixar
You will be importing your Pixar character into Flash and designing a scene for the character.
Tomorrow you will animate this character. You will show your character to the class, make sure you are proud of your work.
Getting Started: (20 points)
- Open a new Flash file – ActionScript 2.0.
- Click File>Import>Import to Stage>Browse to your Pixar Character>Import
- In the dialog box, make sure the Flash Layers option is selected in the Convert Layers To menu.
- Make sure the Place Object at Original Position option is NOT checked, nor are the other three options checked.
- Create another layer named background.
Scene: (20 points) Draw a scene in Flash for your character on a the background layer. The background and foreground may be rough, but should include color. It should be obvious where the character is in the scene (a jungle, a boat, in a kitchen, etc).
You must use all of the following tools and will verbally explain to your instructor how you used each tool.
- Pencil (10 points)
- Pen (10 points)
- Brush (10 points)
- Rectangle, oval and/or polystar tool (10 points)
- Selection tool to reshape a selection (10 points)
- All layers are named (10 points)
